Corruption Perceptions Index

Last week, Transparency International published their 2016 Corruption Perceptions Index, an annual report that examines the extent of corruption in nearly 180 nations. Canada finds itself at #9 with a score of 82/100, while Jamaica fell 14 places since last year, now tied at #83 (39/100) with Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Lesotho.

COLD!

I wore a cardigan to work today. The high was 27C/81F and the low was 22C/72F. I think it is the coldest day I have experienced all year. Going back to Canada is going to be painful…

Happy New Year!

I’m back! After several weeks of visits and holidays, I am back in Kingston and kicking it into high gear in preparation for my return to Canada. There is so much to do and so little time – AHHH! Cuso has sent a checklist of things to take care of before I go. It includes everything from ‘pay your bills’, and ‘close your bank account’ to ‘complete your final report’ and ‘make sure your partner organization knows your final day’. I have a lot to take care of over the next few weeks, and so many thoughts and emotions to process at the same time… I’ll do my best to capture the last bits of Jamaican glory for you, but in the meantime, feel free to check out some photos from my trip to Panama with David.
